Take a tour of the classic images and meanings in fairy tales to learn how, in the midst of conflict, fairy tale characters create energy and insight. Discover how to access fairy tale archetypes in your role as parent and teacher. Conflicts are opportunities for the wise story-mother or father. Stories help us find the right words and picture-language to strengthen young hearts (and our own), to calm jangling nerves, and find the joy hidden in grumbles, squabbles and deeper sorrows.

Through the right story we can appeal to the core of wisdom that lives within each child. Celebrate the New Year as you receive a treasure box of verbal tools for transformation. The queen and king, the ash-girl and the simpleton, the wizard and witch are magnificent power centers of human unfolding. As they work their magic within you, learn how to harness these and other archetypal forces.

Re-read Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and The Fool and the Flying Ship, all found in the Grimms collection.

“The workshop I attended with Nancy Mellon offered me a window into my soul. The room came alive with pleasure, excitement, awe, mystery, magic and deep healing. Her storytelling work is profoundly important, especially now when our world desperately needs the power of our collective imaginations to create transformation." Zoë Weil, International Institute for Humane Education, Surrey, Maine.
